I am looking for information concerning my Gggrandfather William
HENSON and his youngest son Green M. HENSON
and wife Nancy. William (b: 1813 KY) arrived in
Hardeman Co. TN in the early 1820s, was married first there in
1835 and married a second time, in 1856, to Talitha Pipkin
again in Hardeman Co. TN. The 1860 Greene Co. census lists
William and Talitha plus Frances and Margaret by the first wife
and Rachel, Mary A. and Nancy, by the second. Green M. HENSON and
Nancy are also enumerated. I wonder is some of these marriageable
young girls were not married in Greene County. I also wonder if
William HENSON may have acquired a new farm, lived out his life
and lies buried in the soil of Greene County. Green M. Henson
enlisted in the CSA at Pocahontas but left scant records. Can
anyone supply additional information about these HENSONS? Ralph

I am searching for my GGrandfather, Ezra A. GORE. He lived
in various counties in Arkansas during the early 1900s. I know
from a newspaper account he was living in Paragould, Arkansas in
July of 1937. This man lived "all over Arkansas" during
his lifetime. He listed his occupation as "sawmill
laborer"; in the 1910 Census, Black Rock Township, Lawrence
County, Arkansas. He was living with his second wife, Mattie
Taylor Gore, age 28. Mattie and Ezra had one son, Michael
Dallas GORE, born in 1916. Michael achieved a certain amount
of notoriety from his height, 6' 10";, and his pitching
ability as a minor league baseball player. He played for numerous
teams in Oklahoma and Arkansas. I am trying to locate the
cemetery where Ezra is buried and any information I can get on
this man. I have a picture of his tombstone and have reason to
believe he is buried in Greene County.
