MILLIGAN, John - - Minister, Cumberland Presbyterian Church (For the roll of the 1825 Strawberry Congregation organized by John Milligan, the oldest congregation of this denomination in the huge area originally encompassed by "Old" Lawrence County, see page 18 McLeod, 1936 Memorial History of Lawrence County, " by Walter E. McLeod Russellville Printing Co" Russellville, Arkansas. Known as Milligan's Camp Ground, this place of worship is about 4 miles west of the Village of Strawberry and has been in Sharp County since 1868, the year Sharp was created out ot some of the western part of Lawrence, On this 1825 roll are names of some families that lived many, many miles from the place ot worship. The Last Wil1 and Testament of John Milligan was signed on 30 August 1866 and proved on 6 April 1867 in Lawrence County, where it was recorded on page 189 of Will Book "D," Final settlement of his estate was in the Court of Sharp County,)
